Adam West - In Loving Memory
Good night sweet prince. RIP Adam West. I have enjoyed his presence in so many of my favorite shows (Simpsons, Family Guy, etc) and have a fond memory of his Batman portrayal. Adam will continue to influence and leave his presence on the world of cinema and the like for forever even now that he is gone.

For this sketch I wanted to capture his chiseled superhero look and represent both the person and the role he was most famous for. I also practiced my traditional sketching style digitally with some success I think.

Again, RIP Adam West.

Elephant Study
Excuse the poor quality, but I wanted to share a sketch sooner rather than later. Elephants are amazing creatures arent they?
The Great Pathetic
This is a painting to accompany a movie production packet and script. While this painting took about a year of on and off working, it was a great learning experience and its also great to be a part of film-making (even if its in the pre-production stages).
This past weekend I went to the NC comicon in Durham NC and met with professional artist and fellow deviantartist Mark A. Nelson! I only chatted with him briefly but he was very nice and humble. It was inspiring to see all of my fellow artists working so hard to promote themselves and enrich the industry with such amazing artwork. I am not a sequential artist, but I would love to set up a booth at one of these cons next year if possible. Check out Mark's work here:

Hi, just wanted to say thanks :) You've inspired me to start a new sketchbook for noticing 'individuals in a crowd' as I travel through the city so much. It's made me see so much more already and it's eyeopening. Thank you x

There is so much to be learned while observing the people around you. The idea of the voyeur and the watcher will show you things which have gone unnoticed for so long. Keep at it and its my pleasure to hear that I have been an inspiration!

Well said. Your artwork is inspiring and I look forward to more of these kinds of idea I always think of is how many people in cars you pass while driving, never seeing them inside the car as another person, and sometimes only as another, that Jeep just cut me off! Or that Honda's going so slow, like the car is it's own thing, just a thought :-)

That's an interesting perspective indeed. We tend to think that our car is our own private bubble separate from the outside world. Yeah its a funny thing; we dont usually say that "that person driving the Jeep just cut me off!" Thanks so much for your words! It keeps me motivated hearing them. :)
